Media Advisory - Money grows on trees at TD's Booth of Fortune
TD Bank Group sponsors 11th Annual Rogers Chinatown Street Festival
CALGARY, Aug. 10, 2011 /CNW/ - From music and dancing to entertainment and food, Rogers Chinatown Street Festival treats Calgarians to the unique sights, sounds and tastes of Asian cultures right in the heart of the West. And while real money may not grow on trees, TD invites festival-goers to try their luck at the TD Booth of Fortune full of TD fun-money for a chance to win various prizes, including an opportunity to win a live TD "money tree." The "money tree" has special significance in Chinese culture; a symbol of affluence, nobility and auspiciousness it is believed to bring good luck.
"At TD, we embrace and celebrate diversity in many ways with our customers and our employees," says Monique Bateman, Senior Vice President, TD Canada Trust, Prairie Region. "The Rogers Chinatown Street Festival gives us an opportunity to further our support for diverse communities and celebrate the rich and varied cultures of our customers, employees and neighbours."
TD is also the proud sponsor of the main stage where many musical and performance acts are scheduled to perform.
