TD Canada Trust opens new concept branch in downtown Toronto's vibrant community
TORONTO, July 6, 2011 /CNW/ - Whether renting or owning for a long time or short period in the community, most residents of the Greater Toronto Area feel very happy about where they live, according to the TD Canada Trust GTA Regional Report. TD Canada Trust is proud to join downtown Toronto's urban chic community with the opening of its "new concept" branch to serve new and longtime residents. Located at Lake Shore Blvd. and Bathurst Street, the 5,300 square foot branch is situated near historic Fort York, Exhibition Place and Coronation Park on the waterfront, includes an open concept design, with high-tech digital displays, customer lounge and other special features to enhance the banking experience.
"We're very thrilled to celebrate the opening of our new concept branch and be part of such a wonderful and vibrant community," says Jarod Phillips, Branch Manager, TD Canada Trust. "The many innovative features here allow us the opportunity to serve our customers in a completely new way - regardless of what they need; our customers have access to solutions and great advice in a welcoming atmosphere."
The poll also found that three quarters of GTA residents love living in their communities (77%) and enjoy meeting and getting to know their neighbours (76%). "Although we have been open for a few weeks, we wanted to celebrate with a grand opening in order to meet our new neighbours, and give the residents in the area an event where they can meet and catch up with friends new and old," added Phillips.
Features of the new branch include:
- An open concept design that helps TD serve customers better by moving financial specialists out from behind desks directly to the customers
- Digital Displays mounted throughout the branch to provide customers with current information about TD products and services
- A Customer Lounge with a coffee station lets customers wait in comfort if they arrive early for an appointment or are waiting for their friends or family to complete their banking
- Web Kiosks will welcome customers to surf the web and check their accounts on EasyWeb
In addition to the grand-opening festivities, the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation presented a $5,000 donation to Waterfront Trails Association as part of TD's ongoing commitment to the community. This gift will help the organization with the regeneration of the waterfront and connecting communities across Ontario and Quebec through a growing 780 kilometer trail.
The new branch is wheelchair accessible and features one full-service Green Machine ATM which is available 24 hours per day. In addition, the new location offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as well as a Financial Advisor and three Financial Service Representatives.
As part of TD Canada Trust's extended hours, branch hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday; 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
