What: A celebration of Black History Month with Then & Now, a series of performance, arts, and cultural events taking place in Toronto from January 16 - March 27. 

Sponsored by TD Bank Group, series events include:

• Jan 16-Feb 12: Ruined - Ruined follows a young woman's path to Mama Nadi, a savvy businesswoman who, in the midst of a complex civil war, both protects and profits from the women whose bodies have become battlegrounds.
• January 25: An Evening with Spike Lee - The acclaimed director examines the role of music in his films and his perspective on the importance of music in black cinema.
• February 5/6 and 12/13: Kuumba Festival - A FREE celebration of Black History Month with activities such as dance classes, film screenings, music concerts, comedy nights and more.
• February 23/26: Voice of the Diaspora…Haitian Voices - The Nathaniel Dett Chorale presents an intoxicating Haitian Creole musical celebration featuring the world premiere of Ayiti by Haitian composer Sydney Guillaume.
