TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage launches new Markets & Research site
New design provides client experience with quicker, easier access to information and trades
TORONTO, Dec. 17 /CNW/ - TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage has launched its new online Markets & Research service, offering access to more in-depth research, advanced tools and enhanced functionality for WebBroker clients.
"Our new Markets & Research section offers enhanced market data, including an expanded news service with more real-time Canadian and global equity and commodities coverage," said John See, President, TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage.
Faster access to trades
The improved functionality allows clients to buy and sell securities in fewer steps, with more direct links to execute trades more quickly. A pre-filled entry screen and auto-suggest technology for symbols and quotes also contributes to faster orders.
Tool to track performance
Enhancements to the popular Screeners feature, which allow investors to generate investment ideas by screening the universe of securities based on specific criteria, mean that clients can now back-test portfolio performance. The tool illustrates historical performance relative to key benchmarks.
Sharing investment ideas
WebBroker users can also share their screens with each other, through a new feature called Community.
Information at a glance
The revamped site features a new layout and improved visuals, with much more information on securities and markets displayed at a glance.
Access for TDCT clients too
TD clients without a TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage account who want to learn more can access much of the new offering through the TD Canada Trust EasyWeb retail banking online service and familiarize themselves with quotes, charts and news. The service is useful to those interested in learning more about self-directed investing, for instance with daily market commentaries that recap the day's trading session and highlight key information for the upcoming trading day.
