- TD Friends of the Environment Foundation donates $5,000 to Canadian
    Peregrine Foundation.

    LONDON, ON, June 21 /CNW/ - Today TD Canada Trust announced the grand
opening of its new branch in London at Fanshawe Park Road West near Hyde Park
Road. Festivities included a $5,000 donation to the Canadian Peregrine
Foundation's Project School Visit and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation
reusable bag giveaways.
    "With its even longer hours, preferred location and accessibility to
customers in several communities, including London, Arva, Ilderton and
Strathroy, this new branch is a perfect example of our commitment to being the
most convenient bank in the country," said Donna Wilton, Branch Manager. "TD
is already open 50 per cent longer than the other banks and this branch is
taking it to the next level by being open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to
Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays."
    At noon today, Shelley Wilkins, District Vice President, London North
Counties, TD Canada Trust and Donna Wilton, Branch Manager, were on hand to
celebrate the grand opening with an official ribbon cutting and cheque
presentation to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. The money will be used
toward Project School Visit, a program that teaches school children about the
endangered bird and its habitat. Later, guests enjoyed a barbeque, music and
various children's activities.
    "We are very proud to provide this donation to an environmental
organization committed to educating children attending schools in our
community. The Canadian Peregrine Foundation's Project School Visit will give
students the opportunity to study endangered birds up close and learn how
caring for our environment will help with their survival," said Ms. Wilton.
    The new location offers a full array of personal and small business
products and services as well as Financial Advisors and Financial Services
Representatives dedicated to helping customers meet their financial goals. A
full-service Green Machine ABM and a Drive Thru Green Machine ABM are
available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Designed in consideration of
customers' accessibility needs, this new 4,300 square foot branch features
even longer hours and is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
    From June 20 until July 25, visit a TD Canada Trust branch for exciting
giveaways and other surprises during a six week campaign to thank customers.
