TD Canada Trust ranks highest in customer satisfaction for third year in a row, according to J.D. Power and Associates
- Study shows that TD Canada Trust is a leader in all categories, including transactions, account statements, account initiation/product offerings, facility, fees and problem resolution. TORONTO, Aug. 27 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust ranked highest in customer satisfaction according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Canadian Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction Study. J.D. Power and Associates announced today that customers have rated TD Canada Trust highest in satisfaction among the big five Canadian retail banks for the third year in a row. The study, which was conducted in March-April and June-July of 2008, measures customer satisfaction within retail banking through six factors: transactions, account statements, account initiation/product offerings, facility, fees and problem resolution. According to the study, TD Canada Trust was the leader in all six categories. "We are thrilled to receive this recognition for the 3rd year in a row - we believe that this recognition belongs to the most customer focused group of people anywhere - our employees," said Tim Hockey, Group Head Canadian Banking, President and CEO, TD Canada Trust. "At TD our whole culture is about service. Customer service is embedded in our business strategies and our day to day operations and it's tied to everything, including every single employee's compensation. It's how our customer-focused culture works." In November 2007, TD Canada Trust, already the hours leader among the banks in Canada, introduced even longer hours. Now most branches coast to coast are open 62+ hours a week, including Saturdays - 50% longer than the other banks. And, with almost 100 new branches in the last three years alone, Canada's "comfortable" bank is also Canada's fastest growing bank. "For us, it's all about serving customers the way they tell us they like to be served," says Hockey, who conducts focus groups with Canadian bank customers every year. "Customers tell us they like personal, easy service and the convenience of banking how and when they want. With more locations, longer hours, simpler solutions and a choice of online, telephone, ABM or branch banking, they are getting that from TD Canada Trust." In May, Commerce Bank won the 2008 J.D. Power Award for the mid-Atlantic region, with the bank doing particularly well in the convenience category. On October 2, 2007, TD Bank Financial Group announced its acquisition of Commerce Bank.
