J.D. Power and Associates ranks TD Canada Trust highest for second year in a row
Customers put TD at the top in Canadian retail banking customer satisfaction TORONTO, Aug. 30 /CNW/ - For the second consecutive year, TD Canada Trust ranks highest in customer satisfaction among the big five Canadian retail banks, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Canadian Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction Study(SM). In a study that was conducted in February and July of 2007, TD was singled out for its convenience and innovation, and scored top points among 11,325 customers surveyed on key drivers that determine satisfaction including: transaction methods; account set up/product offerings; facility; account statements; and problem resolution. "We put everything we have into being the bank that serves customers the best, so to achieve this ranking is very gratifying," said Tim Hockey, Group Head, Personal Banking and Co-Chair TD Canada Trust. A TD Canada Trust customer loyalty survey commissioned earlier this year and extensive ongoing customer consultations at TD reveal that face-to-face service and convenience continue to be very important to Canadians in their banking relationships. J.D. Power and Associates results further demonstrate those findings. Convenience is so important to customers, that in an industry-leading move, TD Canada Trust is extending its opening hours, already the longest in Canada, beginning November 1st, 2007. The bank also continues to open more branches in more places - from vibrant inner city neighbourhoods to rapidly growing suburban and rural communities - than any other bank. For those who choose to bank in other ways, TD Canada Trust recently upgraded its entire network of over 2,500 ABMs, and has introduced popular new features to its award-winning internet banking service, EasyWeb, including the Canadian industry's first free downloadable anti-phishing tool. EasyLine, TD Canada Trust's award winning telephone banking service has specialists available to meet customers' banking needs around the clock, from anywhere in the world. The highest customer satisfaction ranking by J.D. Power and Associates comes right on the heels of another major customer service award. Earlier this week, and for the third year in a row, TD Canada Trust was recognized by Synovate for being the best in overall customer service. "We're very proud to be receiving this kind of recognition for our customer service and we accept it as a challenge to keep getting better and better. The accolades really belong to the thousands of TD Canada Trust employees across Canada who give their all every day for our customers." said Hockey. About J.D.
