New Commercial Banking Centre in Abbotsford demonstrates TD's commitment to investing in the region
ABBOTSFORD, BC, March 7, 2012 /CNW/ - To meet the growing needs of the Fraser Valley, TD today announced the expansion of its commercial banking services in Abbotsford. The new TD Commercial Banking Centre, located at 32817 South Fraser Way, will serve the communities of Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack.
"TD continues to grow its presence in Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley, first with the opening of its fourth branch and now with the new TD Commercial Banking Centre," said Stephen Murphy, Senior Vice President, TD Commercial Bank. "We hope our expanded presence in Abbotsford will help to meet the commercial banking needs of this vibrant and growing community."
B.C.'s fifth largest city continues to grow in both population and in economic development. TD chose to locate another branch in Abbotsford to provide more services to a growing community and sees future growth potential both here and throughout the Fraser Valley, an important industrial and agricultural region.
"With one of the country's most diversified local economies and multicultural populations, we believe opening a dedicated Commercial Banking Centre in Abbotsford is the right thing to do to provide a high level of service and convenience to our business customers," said Kenda Allen, District Vice President, TD Commercial Bank.
"Abbotsford's solid economy, expanding infrastructure and appealing setting make us one of the most sought after locations in Southwestern BC for new business," said Abbotsford Mayor, Bruce Banman. "The new TD Commercial Banking Centre in Abbotsford will help to support our growing economy and we are pleased to welcome this new branch."
TD recognizes that its success as a financial institution and a community partner is directly related to the health of our communities. To celebrate the new opening, TD announced a $30,000 donation to BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation, an organization that works with educators to bring agriculture to local students.
The new 5,800-square-foot TD Commercial Banking Centre in Abbotsford, which was formally opened by Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group, at a luncheon on March 7, will offer a full array of business products and services and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
