TD Bank Group launches new cyber literacy program
Cyber Suite (C Suite) to help build cyber literacy as growing number of Canadians embrace digital banking and online services
TORONTO, Feb. 4, 2021 /CNW/ - TD Bank Group (TD) has launched the Cyber Suite (C Suite), a new cybersecurity literacy platform that will offer a variety of digital learning forums, including daily cyber safety tips, podcast episodes with some of the world's leading cyber experts, blog posts, webinars, job fairs and a cyber skills accelerator for future cyber specialists.
According to the TD New Digital Customer Study, released in November 2020, almost three-quarters (72%) of Canadians surveyed believe they will be spending more time online in the future, engaging with companies digitally and making purchases.
"As we continue to increase the time we spend online, consumers have an opportunity to learn more about cybersecurity best practices, so they can continue to use new and existing digital platforms with confidence," says Claudette McGowan, TD Global Executive Officer, Protect Fusion and Cyber Experience.
C Suite content will be focused on elevating cyber literacy with insights about how cyber mistakes happen and what can be done to help avoid them, while equipping audiences with tools to help them become more informed about and resilient against cyber threats and attacks.
"COVID-19 public safety and health restrictions have amplified social reliance on digital technology to work, learn, stay up to date with the news and virtually connect with people outside of our households. As we lean on our virtual networks, we need to lean in on safety," says McGowan.
C Suite is available on most major social media platforms at @globalcsuite and through the C Suite podcast on globalcsuite.org.
