Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Celebrate Imagination at the TD Summer Reading Club Launch Event
CALGARY, June 13, 2012 /CNW/ - TD Bank Group kicks off the 2012 TD Summer Reading Club in Calgary, Alberta with 60 fifth and sixth grade students from Connaught School joining Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group at the Calgary Public Library.
With this year's theme of Imagine, TD is encouraging parents and children to let their creativity run wild as they explore the world of reading and continue to build strong reading habits over the summer months at public libraries across the country.
The national launch of the TD Summer Reading Club also marks the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Public Library. In celebration, TD Bank is donating $100,000 to the Calgary Public Library for its 'TD Sunday at the Library' centennial year initiative.
